My fascination for photography started when my mother took me to a darkroom photography class. I was still in grade school. I remember vividly the emotion I felt as I watched the image appear magically on the page. That magic is still with me today.

Through my photography I try to realistically capture the essence of each individual through the use of lighting, expression, and by allowing them to be themselves in front of the camera. Portrait photography to me is an interaction between myself, the camera, and the personality. I try to facilitate a natural interaction. My main objective with portraits is to simply enhance the individual’s true self. I feel my success comes from a genuine enjoyment of that interaction.
